Adopt a Beagle / Mixed (short coat)

Daisy is a very sweet and affectionate 2 year-old Beagle mix female who found herself homeless at an overcrowded rural county dog shelter. We don’t know what circumstances led her to be without a home but she has definitely not missed any meals. Daisy weighs about 36 pounds now but needs to lose 5-10 more to be at her ideal weight so is looking for a person or family who will commit to working with her on this. Daisy’s willing to give healthy snacks such as carrots and green beans a try and would love to go for daily walks to get back into shape. She loves snuggling with her people on the couch so will need to balance plenty of sofa time with her exercise program. Daisy has excellent crate manners and is likely to be housetrained. She gets along well with other dogs as long as they don’t get too close to her food bowl. She hasn’t wanted to engage in play with any in her foster home though so would likely do fine as the only dog in the home. Daisy has met kitties and seemed fine with them so would likely to do well living with cats. She forms attachments to new people very quickly and is going to make an outstanding companion for one very lucky person or family. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped.
